Цель. Охарактеризовать концепцию корпоративной социальной ответственности, в содержании которой заложены два основных концепта – экологическая ответственность и социально ориентированная ответственность субъектов предпринимательской деятельности. Осуществить аналитический обзор научных публикаций, в которых содержится обсуждение практики реализации принципов ESG. Раскрыть принципы, положенные в основу концепции корпоративной социальной ответственности.Процедура и методы. Использованы общенаучные и специально-юридические методы научного познания.Результаты. В статье обосновывается, что ответственное ведение предпринимательской деятельности положительно влияет на состояние экологической безопасности, а также подчёркивается, что реализация принципов ESG при ведении бизнеса обеспечивает развитие экологического предпринимательства. Сделан вывод, что повышение экологической и социальной ответственности бизнеса возможно при успешной реализации эколого-экономического механизма, обеспечивающего рациональное природопользование.Теоретическая и/или практическая значимость. Результаты исследования могут быть применены при планировании экономической (хозяйственной) и иной деятельности, связанной с воздействием на природную среду.

Aim

Aim. To characterize the concept of corporate social responsibility which unites within itself two other key concepts – environmental responsibility and the social responsibility of business entities. To conduct an analytical review of scientific publications that discuss the practical implementation of ESG principles. To reveal the principles underlying the concept of corporate social responsibility.

Methodology

Methodology. General scientific and legal methods of scientific inquiry were used.

Results

Results. It is substantiated both that responsible business conduct has a positive impact on environmental safety and emphasizes that implementing ESG principles in business conduct ensures the development of green entrepreneurship. It is concluded that enhancing the environmental and social responsibility of businesses is possible with the successful implementation of an environmental and economic mechanism that ensures sustainable natural resource management.

Research implications

Research implications. The results of the study can be applied in planning economic (business) and other activities related to environmental impacts.
